2021 5’9” Audrey Roden PG West Linn HS (OR)
One could argue Audrey Roden was one of the most skilled guards at the camp regardless of class. She scored at all three levels in 5on5on5 and 3on3 drills. She has a very high basketball IQ most evident in how she moves on the court and the vocal direction she gives with and without the ball. She’s always moving on the offensive end whether that’s setting back screens or making front cuts and backdoor cuts. She shoots very well displaying good shot form on her three ball and midrange jump shot. Roden also finished from multiple angles and used her floater over and around much taller defenders coming from the help side. I have a feeling Audrey Roden is going to be considered one of the best to ever do it at West Linn High School.

Audrey has a lot going for her. Let's say she’s got some “DOG!” AKA, she got a competitive spirit about her. She can score at all three levels and has a nice looking pull-up jumper. She uses her plus handle and speed to make plays for herself and teammates. Versus the Carolina Flames, Roden made two threes, a layup, and a mid-range jumper in a matter of minutes showing onlookers her ability to score in bunches. Roden’s energy is off the charts and infectious. I could hardly take my eyes off her, and I know there will be a few coaches who feel the same way.

The 5-foot-9 Roden is a gifted offensive player. As of Feb. 13, she was averaging 14.1 points, 5.9 rebounds, two assists and 3.4 steals per game. “She can shoot the three-ball as well as drive to the hoop right or left,” Lions coach Brooke Cates said. “Audrey is super crafty, which makes her difficult to guard. At any given time, she can completely take over a game. Audrey is also a really gifted rebounder.”
